Puerto Rico earthquake: 500 solar lamps distributed
500 solar lamps have been distributed to families deprived of electricity following the earthquake in Puerto Rico.
Early January 2020, Puerto Rico was hit by a series of earthquakes. Two years after the devastating hurricanes Irma and Maria, the material damage caused by these tremblors resulted in major power outages, depriving a part of the island of electricity.
In light of the urgency of the situation, Total Access To Energy Solutions and Total Puerto Rico joined forces with the U.S. humanitarian organization Mercy Corps to deliver solar solutions to those affected. As a result, 500 units were distributed, giving many households a reliable access to light.
